Join your fellow Quilters for a sewing getaway enjoying time relaxing, sharing, and learning at AQR's Winter Groundhog Quiltapalooza® Retreat!

The goal of AQR's Quiltapalooza® Retreats are to provide a happy sewing place where you can sew all you want while you are enjoying the company of friends. Whether you are finishing up UFOs, starting a new project, taking a break with a walk in the outdoors on the beautiful retreat grounds or just mingling around the room socializing...... how you spend time at our Fall Retreat is completely up to you. And of course, we always have a little extra fun thrown in because we just can't help ourselves.

Winter Groundhog Quiltapalooza®2025: Double Room

Our Quiltapalooza® Base Retreat Fee Includes:

• 4 - 5 FULL Days of Sewing, 24 hours a day! (with the option to arrive early on Wednesday) 
• ALL Meals  - Continental Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (from dinner the day of arrival to breakfast the day of departure)
• 4 - 5 Nights of Comfortable Lodging at the Guest House – Rooms are hotel style set up that includes bedding, towels (1 wash cloth, hand and bath/pp) and private bath.  All Rooms have (2) Double beds, some also include a Single bed for triple occupancy. 
• Individual 6-8’ Sewing Stations with comfy seating and plenty of room to sew.
• Pressing and Cutting stations provided.
• Beverage bar with Hot and Cold Drinks.
• Snack Table with Sweet & Savory Treats (sharing welcome)
• Hours of uninterrupted sewing for the duration of the Retreat in the secure sewing area.

• Optional Retreat Activities 
• Memories, New Friends and MORE (we have to leave some surprises for you)! 

Retreat Location:

Fall Retreat will be held at Laurelville Retreat Center in Mt. Pleasant, PA.   This private, yet conveniently located retreat center is located about 24 miles from Uniontown or 45 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, in the foothills of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands.  It is a convenient 15-minute drive off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  

Arrival & Departure Times for Retreat:

Check in is at 2pm  (Thurs for General Registration or Wed with the Add a Day Option)

Check Out is 10am from Guest Rooms & 11am from the Sewing Area on Monday

This Registration is for DOUBLE Occupancy Room

Limited Seats Available - Single Occupancy & Triple Occupancy Rooms are also available and can be purchased under separate registrations.  

“Add A Day” is Optional (additional fee applies):
To Purchase the Additional Day /“Add A Day” Option to arrive on Wednesday, Add the “Materials” to the cart at Check-out under this event listing. 

Additional Information: 

Please provide a good email and phone contact at the time of Registration.  Emails will be our primary contact with you as we get closer to the event.  Additional Registration Information including event options, a packing list and what to expect at retreat will be sent to your email with a form to return 45-60 days prior to the event. 

You are responsible for finding a Roommate for Double & Triple Rooms.  If you need a roommate, please contact the shop and we will do our best to pair you with someone. 

Registration includes a Non-Refundable Fee. Our Cancelation Policy is listed on the Quiltapalooza® Webpage.
