Quiltapalooza® Special Event - OBW Jacket & Jewelry Workshop

Jackie O’Brien returns to AQR to teach her fabulous One Block Wonder method, but with a twist!! Creative Partner and Tag-Team Instructor, Terri Butler joins Jackie, imparting the knowledge on how to transform Jackie's One Block Wonder quilts into fabulous works of wearable art!

In this intimate class, attendees will first learn the basics to cut and build their units to create a One Block Wonder, but will have the option to choose which project to create. Will you select to create a One Block Wonder quilt, or transform the units into a One Block Wonder Jacket?! The choice is YOURS!  As a bonus, Jackie will also teach you how to create the "jewelry" to really make your project really pop!

Class will be held in the AQR Classroom, where our attendees will enjoy this 4 day event, with 3 FULL Days of classroom Instruction from 2 Knowledgeable Instructors to guide you through the process.

We expect this intimate experience to fill quickly so please do not delay registering.  If registration is at capacity, but you are interested in attending, please make sure to place yourself on the waiting list. We always call the waitlist first if something comes available.

9am - 5pm       Day 2 of Classroom Instruction with your 2 Instructors, (lunch provided)       
Classroom will remain open after class for time sewing on your own. 

Saturday, June 27, 2026
9am - 5pm       Day 3 of Classroom Instruction with your 2 Instructors, (lunch provided)
Classroom will remain open after class for time sewing on your own. 

Sunday, June 28, 2026
Classroom will be open from 9am – 2pm for Open Sew

FAQ about our Quiltapalooza® Special Event:

What Meals are included?
Lunch will be supplied by AQR for Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  Breakfast & Dinners are on your own. 

Is there a Pattern for the event?

Yes.  Depending on the project you choose you will either need a pattern or technique sheet.  Every Guest is required to have their own ORIGINAL copy of the Quilt Pattern or Technique sheets.  We do have these in the shop for purchase when attending the event. 

Is there Precutting for this Event?
No.  Precutting is not needed for this event.  We will be going cutting with the instructors. 

What Comes after I Register? 
You will get an email confirmation with your registration.  Our Team is working hard to get ready for this event and will send out updates to the email address with which you register.  Please watch your emails and especially for our final registration email that goes out 60 days prior to the event.  If you have any questions, please contact the shop at info@amysquiltroom.com
